The fun continues
I am talking about the screen printing party that was going on in my home for the past few days. I keep making things and seems I cant stop. I have a ton of ideas and waiting for my new set of screens to come in the mail any day. Just wanted to show you a few picks of what I `ve made past couple of days. I am also working on something else, but it is not finished, so I am not going to bother with that for now. Will post about it later when it`s done.
So here are things I`ve made:
The White Robot Long Sleeve Onesie (please ignore the weird looking Forever You logo that I made on it, it has been fixed and I will update the listing with new pics).
And about the logo. Please don`t make my mistake and do try things out on similar or same fabric as your garment before you do it on your finished product. I did not make this onesie so I did not bother trying the logo stamp on other fabric similar to this one. Ones I stamped it I guess the paint in my stamp was bad and it did not stamp right, as you can see on the picks it turned out very pale looking and watery I would say. It bothered me so much that I went ahead and made a screen with my Logo to use on the garments that were screen printed. I think it will look better matching the paint of the image. So I screen printed the Logo on a piece of brown knit fabric that perfectly matched the onesie and sewed it over the area. I tried to wash away the stamped logo with soap and it washed out a bit because I never heat set it ( once you heat set the ink you will never get it out, not even with bleach), but it still had some fine lines, so there was nothing else I could of done to fix it. But LESSON`s learned !! Actually, I dont know what came over me because I always try my stamp before stamping my finished stuff but this one time GRRR! I thought it will be just fine! The onesie is actually 200% cuter with new screened logo. I do like sometime to print the logo so it has some other lines or smudges underneath it( I just press harder on my stamp to achieve that effect) espesialy on boys clothes. It gives them more boyish style and I dont mind it as long as the name looks sharp and is clearly visible. It becomes a part of the design and sometimes two are not the same but that`s the fun that I have with my stamps!
Ok.. more about my stuff..
Another thing I`ve made were this cute Boy`s pants/ shorts kickers with the image of retro car printed over right leg. The image actually located partially on the back and on the front of the leg. I think it looks interesting.:
I so love these. It looks cuter in person! And the color of the pant is just right . Not too dressy and are perfect for every day fun to kick around in this!
And since we talked about Alice the other day I decided to make something else in this theme: this Alice in Wonderland Girl`s Kicker Pants/Shorts because why can`t a Girl wear one of these??
so comfy and fun .. and can be dressy too, like these, in white. Perfect with white shirt or tank top. The butterflies are printed so they also cross over from the back of the pants to the front, similar to the idea of the pants above , giving it a fun detail:
And to make it even more girly I added some Svarowsky crystals to the butterflies on the pocket.... cause all girly girls should shine:
On the picks of course you can`t really see them shine. I tried very hard to catch that sparkle with my point and shoot camera but unfortunately it did not work. This is the best I could do. But they sure do sparkle a lot especially on the sun.
I was not sure about the white color at first.. and wanted to dye these in some girly color, but a friend of mine reassured me that it looks very nice like that. I hope she did not just say it to keep me happy LOL. Let me know what do YOU think about white color? Or may be I should try to change it? If yes in what color would it look better? To be honest white is not my color for kids. But I have seen some amazing boutique white clothes that look amazing on kids if pieced together with the right top.
I am working also on some items for a giveaway that will happen very soon. I will let you know as soon as it`s up. May be some cute pants for a boy and a girl (winks). Will see! I just did not have much time to actualy do it. We had such a nice afternoon today that I had to take Polina out to play. It was very sunny and warm, but in the morning it was totally miserable - raining and the sky was telling me that it will rain all day, but the sun decided to come out and play with us around noon. And tomorrow I am going to Metro Zoo. If you `ve heard of Metro Zoo before, then you know how HUGE it is. I think it is as huge as Disnay land LOL. Well.. may be not, but it is humongous! THAT will be fun! I already see Polina screaming when she sees all those animals outside. Hopefully that will wear her out .. and I can sew some more after she goes to sleep. Or not.. cause I have to work on Wednesday at my regular part time job.. hm or may be I can just do something quick ..
that is it for now.. Till later!

Excitement that I have been craving..
I wanted to print on fabric for a long long time.. I have tried to cut stencils from freezer paper, but found it time consuming and sometimes frustrating.. I remember cutting a huge stencil to print on the t shirt and made a little mistake that ruined the whole thing and of course the beauty of image.. It was so disappointing! I started to research all kind of methods of transferring the image to the fabric and found out that there is a great way of doing it by using screen printing. The images that screen printing produces are incredibly detailed and you can basically screen print anything you want.. I just knew I had to try it one day. I went form wanting to buy a basic kit to an expansive machine. My decisions were changing back and forth as I was analyzing what I needed. I took a calculator and realized neither one was suitable for my needs. They all involved a lot of cost down the road plus required a lot of room for storage and since I live in a fairly small apartment, it would be a huge issue for me. One screen printing frame costs anywhere from 20 and up plus I would have to get other materials. I could probably make my own frames.. but I could no see myself going to Hardware store to by wood and then hammering my own frames.. I am sure there are many handy people out there who can make their own screens, but I don't think I am one of them. Besides, the frame suppose to be tightened well to produce great results and there is no way I would of known how to do it. So I continued to search and I finally found what I needed. This Screen Printing Kit had everything I needed and more.
The principle of this screen printing technique was cheaper for some one who will not produce a ton of same screen printed Items, yet great enough if you start making a lot of things using same screens.. It does not require frames or chemicals all you have to get are sheets with emulsion on it ready made for you and waiting for you to burn your stencils.
And it arrived yesterday! I was so excited to try it out right away, but it arrived in the evening and the sun was already down and since I needed sun to burn my stencils I could not do it same day... I hardly waited until today and I cant describe how easy it was for me to use it from making a stencil to printing an image. This kit was truly a treasure to find. It was so easy that I could not stop making stencils. I burned a 5 stencils in a meter of 15 min. The quality of stencil amazed me as it produced very clear detailed prints. I thought I would ruin things on my first try. But look what turned out! To continue to celebrate Alice in Wonderland:
This was my first try. I loved it so much that I wanted to make something else right away. All in a meter of 10 minutes. And that was ONLY because I was nervous and was washing my stencils for 5 minutes each so that the paint won`t ruin it. And second time I was a pro:
Who said he can`t fly to the moon??!
In this onesie your little guy can be a spaceman, fly to the moon and be comfy!
Both of these are in my Shop waiting for a little boy or a girl to wear them..
I can declare myself officially hooked on screen printing. I even made a screen with my logo on it :) Sweet! Now I can dress every one I know to advertise my shop :) for free... !LOL I so carried away.. And could not stop because I loved it so much that I was ready to burn any image just to try it out! There is more and more to come THAT I know for sure.. and I can`t wait to see what else I will come up with....!

Some Red Queeness..
Are you all as excited as I am??
It is Alice in Wonderland time! The movie is out and I know a lot of people who can`t wait to see it, including me ! I grew up with this beautiful classic... I absolutely loved it and watched every cartoon/movie out there about Alice! I`ve used to dream about becoming so tiny and then so BIG! And what girl did not hope to find a rabbit, who will bring her to that little secret door.. The tale as not and ordinary one, that`s for sure. It seamed strange and a bit unlike all fairy tales out there. But for some reason it had been one of my and every little girl`s and and even adult`s favorite. And it still is now. Classic is timeless!
The story has inspired me and many other wonderful crafters to create so many wonderful things in this theme!
Even my boss at work pinned a phrase on her pin board: " Queens never make bargains!" ( yes I have fun and absolutely cool boss) . I think this phrase from Alice in Wonderland is her motto in life ! The Idea of making something for Polina did not let me rest and I absolutely had to bring it to life!
So this little outfit was born:
I made this Red Queen Dress outfit wile ago. It has an embroidery: " Queens never make Bargains!" on the bloomers - the famous phrase of Red Queen Of Hearts and a little Crown embroidered at the front:
AND as you can all see it also comes with matching head band :)
I just cant stand that cute but!
The cuteness is now in my Forever You Etsy Shop .
And look at this .. My friend, Irene, from Baby Chic is ONE talented lady! Look at how she brought to you a piece of this wonderful tale:
I am so in love with this! I want to just lick that chocolate and eat those bunny ears!! A box for Jewelery?? Why not ! I think every little girl would love to have one! To put some treasures in.. keep her secrets.. and expect the magic...
Well Irene, you are amazing !! What a great Idea and all made by hands??? Incredible!
And who would not want to dress up in this gorgeous costume from GrosGrainFabulous . I came across her blog when I was looking for great Alice stuff and here it was:
What an attention to details! Well done! It would be my dream to dress up in this costume! Unfortunately I did not make to her giveaway in October 2009.. Upsss .. too late, but I am sure there is one lucky girl out there who will absolutely love this! And I love the second pick . Those three, look natural! And great face paintings!! Simply amazing..!
I am so sure that there are many many many more amazing creations out there about Alice in Wonderland.. So if you or your kids came up with some sort of Alice theme creations or Idea, please, share it with me and all the fans who will read this post! We want to know what you came up with to celebrate Alice!
I can`t wait to see the movie!

This Allergy kills me.
I am a healthy person from day to day and actually rarely do I get colds. But last year I started with this eye itching I could not figure out why. It got really out of hands. I could not stand it and was forced to try some allergy meds . I tried pretty much every drug out there just to find out nothing worked besides Benadryl. But taking Benadryl made me so drowsy that the days I was taking it, I did not function.. Drunk without drinking I call it.. I thought it was just something odd that happened to me but this year this made a come back exactly same time it happened last year. Now I know for sure it is an allergy.. My eyes are red and I cant see well because it feels like send in my eyes. Was up all night because it hurts like hell. Put anti allergy drops and they help only for 5 min. Putting some tea bags helped a bit and I spent most of the night laying with tea bags on my both eyes. Newest allergy meds dont help .. so I might have to go back to old drowsy Benadryl to get rid of this painful experience, but that means I will be half drank all day but hopefully it helps, cause I cant live with is, its like a torture.

A nice surprize
came in my mailbox yesterday! Did I tell you I won a giveaway recently?? I never won anything in my life! But this time I was lucky, I guess if you enter every giveaway in the world you actually just might win something! Well this one I entered and totally forgotten about since I never win anything anyways! But when I was contacted by Becky from RWest Designs Jewelry to tell me that I won, I was jumping up and down from excitement ! I was at the post office the minute I got her message, so you can imagine the reaction of people as well as my daughter`s face when I screamed and jumped. Every one thought I was a nut! I felt quite embarrassed, but could not help it!
Well.. a few days passed and I finally made it to check my mail and there it was! Wrapped up all nicely and with personal note inside! Is not it cool (who writes notes by hands now day? well.. may be me)???
cute isn`t it??
Bunch of a happy colorful sunshine inside!
And look at this heirloom little card to hold it!
I could not wait to put it on!
And show it off to everyone I know, including you !
Polina tried to snatch it of as soon as I took it out of the envelope! But na-ah. It is mommy`s this time! Because mommy already forgot when last time treated herself with anything nice, so Sorry little one you ain`t getting it :) Because I like it too much!
Sweet, girly stuff! Just what Dr ordered to go along with these finally sunny days in Florida. I love those glass beads and how they feel on my wrist ! Super adorable! My friends asked me if I bought it and I said YAP. Here is the name of the store and gave Becky`s business card to them! So you better have more of those colorful beads, Becky, because they will be asking for them!
THANK YOU SO MUCH, BECKY for your lovely gift! You made my day!
And if all of you want one for yourself, head over to her lovely SHOP before my friends got there first :)
She has some amazing collection to choose from ! Have fun with those colors!

Because we love you
Polina has a very very good friend. She is her Best Friend Forever I would say. Her name is Anna.
Polina spent almost every day with Anna since she was 6 month old.
Spent the holidays together:
and wore Anna`s last year Halloween costumes because it`s fun to look like her a year later :)
She already got Anna`s butterfly costume for 2010 Hallowing and can`t wait to put it on..!
And there is no better things to do but play with your BF:
and swim side by side
read a few books together
and of course repeat each other`s every step
So as Annas`s birthday rolled around in February we just new we had to make her something very very special. So we set down and talked about what Anna would love ..
Polina said something about the crown and a princess. And I got it. I just knew what she meant and made her somethings that every little girl should have in her closet!
All packed in a pretty damask hat box.. and gave it for her big number 3:
A petty skirt in candy pink
that came with matching top
and a hair clip with her Name initial - A
Because we want you to feel like a real princess ..! Have fun wearing it many many days, beautiful Blondy!
Happy Birthday BIG GIRL!
We love you very much..
P.S: Unfortunately my camera died the minute Anna put that skirt on... So I could not make any shots of her wearing it. But I will make sure that her mom takes some picks next time she puts it on... and hopefully before she gets any cake, ice cream and candy all over it ! ;)
